Edward Curtis in Hollywood
A sampling of Curtis' Los Angeles studio and film production work in the early 1920s drawn from private collections. Included are: portraits of Hollywood notables, images of a heroic canine superstar, film publicity stills, lobby cards, and Curtis' experimental, glamour, blue-toned Aphrodite. A few photogravures from The North American Indian, including a hand-colored Northwest Coast architectural plate, are included for context. An accompanying text with many additional illustrations is provided for reference.
